Growing Up

During her time in school, she performed with the piano and violin. Later, in her studies she took up the guitar. Mercier attended the University of Colorado and studied classical music. After collge, she moved to New York to form a duo group. Then, early in the 1980s, Mercier played with her own band all around Texas.

'80s - Now

Mercier spent the years 1987 to 1992 residing in Los Angeles. Forgiveness and Rage, her debut album, was published in 1993, and shortly after that, a live CD. After beating cancer in 1997, Mercier carried on with her career and put out additional music.
