Sunday March 17th, at G&S Lounge on South First St. in Austin during "that crazy week," Mandy played the SteadyBoy Records' showcase as a guest of label artist Freddie "Steady" Krc. Sunday April 7th, was at Giddy Ups Mandy playing A Tribute to Rich Minus, legendary Texas singer & songwriter. Other performers included Alvin Crow, Freddie "Steady" Krc, Ted Roddy, Leland Waddell, Will Sexton & Stephen Doster, and many others. She was joined onstage by Kevin Hollingsworth and Boomer Norman; Wednesday, April 17th at Patsy's Cowgirl Cafe. Mandy was a guest of the wonderful Nancy Scott, for her Songwriter's Circle; Saturday, June 15th, Mandy returned to B.B. Rover's Cafe and Pub for an acoustic show accompanied by Kevin Hollingsworth and Boomer Norman; Tuesday, Sept. 24th at B.B. Rover's HAAM Benefit Day We did a 30-minute set. Kevin Hollingsworth and Boomer Norman joined me; Saturday, November 9th, Mandy played at the Grand Reopening of Giddy Ups on Manchaca Road in Far South Austin; Saturday, November 30th, Giddy Ups, celebration of Boomer and Sissy's wedding!; Sunday December 22nd, The Continental Club. Planet Casper, hosted by the great Casper Rawls. Casper has great guests every week and we're very honored to be among them once again. Also on the bill is the incredible David Halley we'll be swapping tunes and having a great time.

Mandy was accompanied by the marvelous Marvin Dykhuis; Saturday, March 17th, G&S Lounge on South First at Oltorf, John Conquest's Third Coast Music magazine presented their annual "NotSXSW" showcase. Mandy perform and was joined by Marvin Dykhuis on guitar and vocals; Thursday March 22nd, Giddy Ups. Mandy was the featured guest on Lost John Casner's new Songwriter Series, featuring Mandy's original material as well as that of John as host; Thursday April 19th, Lost John Casner's Songwriter Series continues at Giddy Ups with Mandy once again as featured guest, this time with additional featured guest Marvin Dykhuis; Thursday, May 31st, Giddy Ups, Mandy was again featured as special guest along with marvelous Marvin Dykhuis, at Lost John Casner's weekly series, "Texas Music Nights"; June 20th Mandy was the guest of Rush Evans on his show, "The Singer and the Song" on KOOP-FM radio, 91.7 or KOOP.org (live streaming);June 21st, Giddy Ups, Mandy returned to "Texas Music Nights" hosted by Lost John Casner. Mandy was the featured artist for this show; June 28th, The Continental Club, 1315 South Congress, Mandy joined host, the wonderful Casper Rawls and another great musician and friend Marvin Dykhuis for an acoustic show as part of the series, Planet Casper; Saturday July 21st, at B.B. Rover's Cafe and Pub; Monday, August 13th, Giddy Ups, Mandy did a very special edition of "Texas Music Nights." This series has been moved to Monday nights and Mandy welcomes David Halley, the night's co-featured act, along with series host Lost John Casner; Nov. 3, private party in Crystal Falls, Texas; Sunday November 11, The Waterhole Saloon, Garfield, TX, A Tribute to Calvin Russell, featuring house band Speedy Sparks on bass, Gabe Rhodes and Spencer Jarmon on guitar, Matt Hubbard on keyboards and Leland Waddell on drums. We are honored to be included in this lineup which will also include J.T. Van Zandt, Jon Dee Graham, R.C. Banks and others. This will be a great celebration of the life of a truly charismatic and soulful man and musician. Hosted by Mrs. Cynthia Russell; Tuesday, December 18th, Scholz's Garten, Mandy played a benefit for Hank Sinatra which was also a birthday celebration for Blaze Foley.

Sunday, March 20th at 11:30 p.m. at G&S Lounge Mandy was featured in a "NotSXSW Showcase" sponsored by 3rd Coast Music magazine. All-day lineup will included Roy Heinrich & the Pickups, Sisters Morales and Susan Cowsill - Susan will be performing as part of "The Hobarts" with Jon Dee Graham and Freedie Johnson. Mandy will follow the "The Hobarts" to close out the show with an acoustic set at 1130 p.m.; Mandy was featured on "Around the Town Sounds" Saturday April 2nd on KOOP-FM hosted by Rush Evans; Saturday, April 2nd, B.B. Rover's Cafe and Pub, 8 pm to 11 pm; Sunday, April 16th, Tribute to Calvin Russell, Ruta Maya Coffee House, South Congress, Austin, TX, 2 pm to 6 pm. Mandy was performing along with many other special guests; Thursday, June 30 at The Continental Club in Austin, Mandy was the guest of Casper Rawls at his weekly show, "Planet Casper". The great Casper Rawls hosts different configurations of music each week and Mandy is really happy and honored to join her friend Casper for this one; July 9th was the date of the Texas Music Awards in Linden, Texas, hosted by the Academy of Texas Music. Mandy won the "Academy Award of Distinction" for her current release, "Singer in a Roadhouse Band" on Wild Cantinas Records;Sunday, Sept. 4th at Momo's Club, Austin, Mandy was part of a Texas Music Awards Showcase for Austin musicians who won awards this year from the Academy of Texas Music. Austin winners included Bob Livingston for "Gypsy Alibi," Album of the Year: Chris Gage, Multi-Instrumentalist of the Year; Tim Henderson and Freddy Powers, Lifetime Achievement Awards; Bob Cheevers, who won Singer-Songwriter of the Year and is organizing the event; as announced elsewhere and with thanks, Mandy was honored with the Academy Award of Distinction, a new category decided solely by audience votes, for her album, "Singer in a Roadhouse Band."; Sept. 17, Hole in the Wall Tribute to Blaze Foley and screening of the documentary film, "Duct Tape Messiah" directed by Kevin Triplett. Mandy performed immediately following the screening of the film along with Lost John Casner, another of Blaze's good friends and colleagues in a special duo performance; October 14th - 16th, Giddy Ups will host a reunion of performers from the legendary Austin Outhouse. Last year's reunion was a great and soulful success, and many of the Outhouse regulars who included Lost John Casner, the Rhythm Rats, Dickie Lee Erwin, Ted Roddy, Sarah Elizabeth Campbell. George Ensle, the Keepers, Mandy Mercier and many more will reprise their appearances this year. Mandy will performed Saturday evening; Saturday, Oct. 29th, B.B. Rover's Cafe and Pub, Mandy returned to one of the best clubs in Austin supporting live music.

CD RELEASE!!! "Singer in a Roadhouse Band" (Wild Cantinas) at Amelia's Retro-Vogue and Relics, part of Third Coast Music Showcase, Saturday March 20th, NOTSXSW outlaw show; AUSTIN OUTHOUSE REUNION, April 9-10-11, Giddy Ups in Manchaca at end of Manchaca Road, this will be a 3-night reunion to remember!! Mandy's set is at 8 pm on SATURDAY night. The whole gang will be there -- Billy Joe Shaver, Lost John Casner, Beth Galiger, Sarah Elizabeth Campbell, Calvin Russell, Eric Blakely, and a host of others -- so many a third night has been added!! Mandy was accompanied by Kevin Hollingsworth; Mandy played April 23 at Maria's Taco Express!;Wednesday May 5th, there was a screening of "Blaze Foley, Duct Tape Messiah," a documentary about our late friend, at the UT Communications Bldg. Mandy was part of a brief panel discussion after the screening along with DJ Larry Monroe, filmmaker Kevin Triplett and the great musician (and Foley cohort) Gurf Morlix; Mandy is played B.B. Rover's Cafe and Pub on Saturday, May 15th; June 19, Mandy did a special show in co-concert with Pat Mears and Mickey White at Giddy Ups; June 26th, Mandy played again at Giddy Ups in Manchaca, A Benefit for Ray Holland; July 7th, Mandy played at Vinny's Cafe on Barton Springs Road in Austin; Saturday July 24th, Mandy played at B.B. Rover's Cafe and Pub. Mandy was accompanied by musical ace Cam King, who's a guitar wizard and also writes his own great songs; Wednesday, August 4th Mandy played Vinny's Cafe on Barton Springs Road in Austin; Saturday, August 14th, Mandy returned to Giddy Ups in Manchaca with the "Tri-Namic Triad" of herself, Pat Mears and Mickey White. September 1st, Thom the World Poet's has asked Mandy to be the featured guest once again this first Wednesday in September poetry and music night at South Austin Bar & Grill, the former "Vinny's" location on Barton Springs Road in Austin; Saturday, October 23rd Mandy played B.B. Rover's Cafe and Pub, on the night of the full moon!;Tribute to Al Grierson: Wednesday November 3rd, at South Austin Bar & Grill, tonight we honored Al Grierson, who drowned in a flash flood 10 years ago this date. Al was an incredible performer of both music and spoken word, and wrote incredible songs.

March 18th Austin Convention Center, 7 pm is the premier screening of "Drunken Angel" [working title] the Blaze Foley documentary which will air at last!!! Musical performance as time permits (including Mandy) doing Blaze's great songs, and Mandy is one of the people interviewed in the film itself; Sat. March 21st, B.B. Rover's Cafe and Pub, an EARLY set at BB Rover's, Mandy played for the NXNW (North by No Wristband) festival; Sunday, March 22, at The Long Center for the Performing Arts in Austin there was a ceremony to induct musicians into a "walk of fame" and this year's honorees include Blaze Foley. Mandy sang some songs by Blaze as part of the celebration; Tuesday, March 24th, Mandy sat in with Tom Pacheco at the The Cactus Café in Austin. Tom is a great singer-songwriter and Mandy played fiddle with Tom in New York, Austin, Woodstock and other spots on the map for years, a long, long time ago; Saturday, May 2nd, at Ruta Maya Coffee House in Austin, Mandy played an acoustic set followed by Tiny Tin Hearts. The concert and silent auction, etc. are a benefit for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; Wednesday, May 6th, 7 pm, Mandy played at Vinny's on Barton Springs Road. Other performers include Mickey White, Mark Ambrose, Eric Hisaw, Jonny Burke from The Dedringers, Front Porch Gypsies and more!!! Mandy goes on at 9:20 p.m., right after Mickey White!!
